Notre Dame football is coming off of yet another 10-win season. This season brings change. Here are three storylines to keep up with this season.

This season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is all about changing the narrative.

Brian Kelly is confident that the way the Irish have recruited in combination with the talent they have returning there is an opportunity for the men from South Bend can make a run at the national semifinal. Not only does Kelly and his staff think they can make a run at the College Football Playoff, but they are also confident the Irish can re-establish themselves as one of the nation’s elite.

All of this remains to be seen.

There are legitimate questions the Irish have to answer if they want to change the narrative about who they are as a program. Can they replace sure-fire NFL talent after two years of attrition? Who is their playmaker?

If college football history tells us anything about elite programs, the elite doesn’t rebuild, they reload. We will see if the Irish are in a step-back year or if Brian Kelly is right about his program.
