Ohio State Football: Can Jeff Okudah live up to massive hype?
Ohio State football has produced some of the best corners in the NFL over the past few years and Jeff Okudah looks to be no different.
One of the topics of debate amongst college football fans is what position do they reign supreme at when producing NFL talent. One of the more popular debates over the past several years is who is the school that deserves the title as “DBU”.
That debate comes down to two teams: LSU and Ohio State.
LSU has produced the likes of players such as Tyrann Mathieu, Jamal Adams, Patrick Peterson, to name a few. Ohio State on the other hands as given the NFL Marshon Lattimore, Denzel Ward and Malcolm Jenkins, again just to name a few.
Well both schools look to stake their claim for that title in these years NFL Draft as both schools have some elite talent that should have a couple players from each school’s secondary off the board within the first to second rounds, including each school potentially having a top-10 overall pick.
Ohio State’s highly-ranked corner is Jeff Okudah. In his time at Ohio State, he logged 84 tackles, three interceptions, 18 pass breakups and two forced fumbles. In the Buckeyes’ impressive run to the College Football Playoff last season, Okudah, alongside Chase Young, led a dominant defense and always seem to make a big play whenever Ohio State needed one.
So what does Okudah have to offer the NFL? What, if anything, could make him fall in the draft? And who exactly could draft Okudah?
