Here’s your typical late-season SEC vs. FCS game that will likely end in a blowout because, well, this game has no business being on the schedule.

Mississippi State will reach bowl eligibility with a big win here and try to build some momentum before a huge Egg Bowl showdown in the season finale against Ole Miss.

Final Score: Alabama A&M 10, Mississippi State 49 (6-5)

Mississippi State reached bowl eligibility the week before, so anything after that sixth victory is just icing on the cake.

Unfortunately, there will be no icing on the cake for Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl as the Bulldogs will be left with yolk on their faces. The Rebels lost last season in one of the most head-scratching ways in series history but they’ll be out for revenge under the direction of new coach Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss wins a close one and even though the Rebels will miss a bowl game by just one win, they’ll have bragging rights in the state of Mississippi — and sometimes that’s all that matters in this rivalry.
