San Jose State didn’t have the best season in 2019, finishing in last place in the West division of the Mountain West. There’s plenty of work for this program to do in order to be relevant in the league, but they won’t be able to pull off a massive road win here.

If you think Penn State is due for one of those early-season letdowns, don’t think it’ll happen here against one of the worst teams from the Mountain West.

Final Score: San Jose State 7, Penn State 38 (3-0)

After making the Big Ten title game a couple of years ago, Northwestern had a disappointing 2019 season even though Hunter Johnson transferred in. While Pat Fitzgerald is one of the best coaches in the entire conference, he has too much fixing to do.

Northwestern is in a bad spot heading into the 2020 season, especially at quarterback, but the Wildcats will put up a fight here — for one half.

The game will be within a touchdown at halftime before Sean Clifford and that offense pull away in the final two quarters.

Final Score: Northwestern 13, Penn State 35 (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten)
