Pick Analysis. LSU. Joe Burrow. Scouting Report. QB. 1. player. 56

In a draft season where there have been multiple rumors and scenarios, this has been the most consistent pick.

While the question remains of what to do with veteran quarterback Andy Dalton with one year left on his contract, the Bengals seemed determined to get a new franchise quarterback in Joe Burrow. Dalton has shown that he cannot be the franchise quarterback after leading the Bengals to inconsistent seasons since 2011 despite being selected to three Pro Bowls.

In just one season, Burrow went from decent starter to record-breaking franchise quarterback by passing for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, and only six interceptions on 402 completions (out of 527 attempts).

Burrow will fit perfectly well with the Bengals’ elite wider receiver in A.J. Green. Unless there is huge breaking news of the Bengals’ intent to trade the top overall pick, Burrow seems to be the guy for Cincinnati.
