31. 42. Pick Analysis. CB. Trevon Diggs. Scouting Report. Alabama. player

The San Francisco 49ers had one of the biggest season turnarounds from one season to another season.

While cornerback Richard Sherman was highly consistent was this past season, he is going to go to be 32 by the end of March. He cannot be consistent forever plus the other corners in Ahkello Witherspoon and Emmanuel Moseley have been splitting starts.

The 49ers will need to develop a cornerback for the future in this 2020 NFL Draft.

Alabama’s Trevon Diggs is a player who has been dominating against mid-level teams. He struggled the most in big games like LSU and Auburn. He is too impatient when he turns to adjust his coverage where he can lose his wide receiver often. He is a solid coverage corner once he is comfortable.

Diggs is also a dynamic athlete, who will likely be a versatile coverage player and potential return specialist like he was at Alabama.
