Kicking the season off with a Big Ten battle isn’t exactly something we’ve been using to seeing, but that’s what the conference has been doing more of over the past few years.

Purdue comes to town after a disappointing season but Rondale Moore returns and that quarterback situation should be much better after a plethora of injuries in 2019. Will that be enough to win in front of a hostile crowd in Lincoln?

I’m going to say probably not.

Final Score: Purdue 23, Nebraska 31 (1-0, 1-0 Big Ten)

Fresh off their first Big Ten win of the season in Week 1, Nebraska will host a Central Michigan team that nearly saw its head coach plucked by other programs this offseason. Jim McElwain has stuck around and he’s getting the Chippewas to play at a high level but an upset here won’t be in the cards.

Central Michigan will play Nebraska tough for two quarters, but the second half will be all Cornhuskers as Adrian Martinez and that offense run away with a comfortable win.

Final Score: Central Michigan 17, Nebraska 37 (2-0)
