Alabama football has had a ton of great moments in the Saban era. So many that we needed a bracket to choose. Welcome to the Round of 32.

The Saban dynasty has certainly been a fruitful one for the Alabama football program. With no sports in the foreseeable future, we decided to do a bracket of the 68 greatest moments since Saban put pen to paper. Some are games. Some are plays. Some are just famous quotes from the man himself.

It started with the 68 moments, but we are now down to 32. Let’s take a look at what has happened so far and preview the matchups before the Sweet 16, starting with the first four matchups.

16-seed: Adam Griffith’s perfect game vs. Auburn OVER Tua’s touchdown vs. Louisville

This was a resounding win. Apparently, Griffith’s revenge in Jordan-Hare meant more to Tide fans than one of Tua’s mid-level highlights. Even with this, Griffith has a first-round exit against 2nd and 26.

16-seed: Receivers playing Rock-Paper-Scissors OVER Jalen’s final TD in Bryant-Denny Stadium

This was not that surprising. Jalen’s touchdown was a great play, but receivers fighting to take routes was a crazy moment that happened more recently.

16-seed: Saban chewing out Lane Kiffin OVER Saban chewing out A.J. McCarron

I doubt that many people remember the moment with McCarron, but it ended with Saban smacking him on the rear hard enough to leave a bruise. If people watched all of these moments on a YouTube playlist, I’m sure that people would think differently of this moment.

16-seed: Najee’s hurdle TD vs. Jeudy’s jukes

Jeudy had so many juke plays that you can’t point to just one. That’s probably why Najee won this one. This could have had a longer stay in the bracket, but it had to go up against a 1-seed.

Now, let’s go ahead and look at the winners of the first round of polls.
