UCLA Football: Way-too-early 2020 game-by-game predictions

Kevin Sumlin is in a critical year, like Chip Kelly, with Arizona as his Wildcats haven’t played well in his first couple of seasons as head coach. Unfortunately, he won’t have Khalil Tate to boost that offense as well as JJ Taylor. This team will struggle to stay competitive in 2020.

Arizona will fall behind big early here and things may get tight in the third quarter before the Bruins finally pull away in the fourth for the win.

A 2-0 start to Pac-12 play and 5-0 overall? Maybe Chip Kelly will be the conference’s coach of the year.

Final Score: Arizona 17, UCLA 34 (5-0, 2-0)

As one of those up-and-coming teams in college football, Arizona State went from a shocking hire of Herm Edwards to surprising the rest of the Pac-12. This team isn’t going away any time soon.

Jayden Daniels is one of the best young quarterbacks in the country and even though the offense is losing star running back Eno Benjamin, the Sun Devils are bringing in one of the best receiver classes in 2020 and have a solid defense — one of the Pac-12’s best.

Arizona State will bring UCLA down for the first time in 2020.

Final Score: UCLA 21, Arizona State 30 (5-1, 2-1)
