Jerry Jeudy will look to contribute to the long line of former Alabama football wide receivers to dominate in the NFL in the 2020 draft.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have contributed multiple high-value players at the multiple positions in the NFL.

At the wide receiver position, players like Julio Jones, Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley have made names for themselves by becoming first-round picks in the NFL draft. Now the Crimson Tide have a chance to get not one but two wide receivers selected in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft. Jerry Jeudy is one of the top offensive prospects in the class, especially at the receiver position.

Jeudy is regarded as one of the top two wide receivers in the draft class along with Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb. There is a clear distinction between Jeudy’s elite athleticism and Lamb’s reliability as a deep-threat.

Jeudy came to Alabama as a five-star recruit in the recruiting class of 2017 as the No. 3 ranked wide receiver and the No. 21 overall prospect. He was the fourth-ranked Crimson Tide prospect in the 2017 recruiting class behind running back Najee Harris, offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood and middle linebacker Dylan Moses.

As soon as he walked on to campus at Tuscaloosa in his freshmen year in 2017, he impacted the team immediately. He played in eight games that season where he recorded 14 receptions for 264 yards and two touchdowns. He finished second on the team in receiving yards, behind Calvin Ridley, for the Tide’s national title-winning team.

In the 2018 season, Jeudy played and started in 15 games for the Crimson Tide that went to the title game to face the Clemson Tigers. He led the team in all major receiving categories by accounting for 68 receptions for 1,315 yards (averaging 19.3 yards per reception) and 14 touchdowns.

One of his biggest performances in the regular season was in Week 3 when he caught three receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns in an away win at Ole Miss. In the National Championship loss to Clemson, Jeudy caught five receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown.

This past season, Jeudy’s role shifted from the previous two seasons as an outside receiver to the slot. He showed more versatility and dynamic playmaking as a junior at Alabama. He had 77 receptions for 1,163 yards (averaging 15.1 yards per reception) and 10 touchdowns. In eight of the 13 games that Jeudy played in this past season, he accounted for at least six receptions.

In his final collegiate game in the 2020 Capital One Bowl against Michigan, he caught six passes for 204 yards and one touchdown.

Some instances and attributes make Jeudy the best receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft. There are many situations where teams can take him as an early pick as he possesses many positive traits and few negative traits.
