Weaknesses

While Jerry Jeudy is one of the best receivers in this 2020 NFL Draft, he does not come without flaws.

This past season, matchups against LSU, Ole Miss and Auburn showed that he can be less impactful at the line of scrimmage off screens once the defenders shed off their blocks from other players. At the snap of the ball, if the defender creates an efficient press at the line of scrimmage, Jeudy will be severely late getting to his route.

Jeudy’s speed can be difficult at times when the short-yardage passes are thrown to him when he tries to slow down. Often on these short-yardage routes, he tends to drop the passes because he doesn’t slow down at times or he turns his attention to the field before he secures the pass. His concentration of the pass being thrown to him as his hand-eye coordination are inconsistent.

While he has the attention to be quick in multiple scenarios, he is not instantly quick and requires some time to build up his fast speed. Jeudy will ultimately need to improve his upper body strength to create more separation from NFL-caliber defensive backs.
