This is arguably the best chance Notre Dame has out of the three elite Midwest prospects on the list as Rocco Spindler looks to be looking heavily at the Irish and Michigan.

Keeping Spindler home is Jim Harbaugh’s top priority but he’s going to have to fend off a Notre Dame program that’s trying to poach the Clarkston offensive guard as well as his teammate Garrett Dellinger. It doesn’t look like those two are a package deal, but it wouldn’t hurt Notre Dame’s chances with one if it landed the other.

Spindler is one of the best offensive guards in the nation, listed as the No. 2 offensive guard in the 2021 class as well as the No. 49 overall prospect.

Standing 6-foot-4.5 and 295 pounds, Spindler has both the size and strength to become an instant contributor on the interior of the offensive line, if he were to commit to the Irish.
