Missouri is going through a transition phase with Eli Drinkwitz at the helm and there’s going to be a rough patch at the beginning of the new head coach’s tenure.

If you think he goes into Tennessee here and pulls off a season-defining upset over Tennessee, you’re mistaken. The Volunteers take care of business against the Tigers relatively easily and improve to 3-2 on the season, picking up their first SEC win to start October.

Final Score: Missouri 13, Tennessee 35 (3-2, 1-1)

A win over Missouri may very well get the ball rolling for Tennessee after a rather sluggish 2-2 start to the season and heading into Columbia, the Vols will need some momentum.

Will Muschamp’s seat will be en fuego at this point in the season and he’ll need a win over Tennessee to silence the doubters. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen as Jarrett Guarantano has one of his best games of the season on the road and the Tennessee defense swallows Ryan Hilinski up.

Tennessee wins a big road contest here.

Final Score: Tennessee 31, South Carolina 23 (4-2, 2-1)
