Tennessee Football: Where will Vols prospects land in 2020 NFL Draft?
The Volunteers’ top draft prospect is defensive lineman Darrell Taylor. Taylor can play both inside and on the edge of the defensive line and is known for being an outstanding run stopper.
Taylor made 19.5 sacks and 26.5 tackles for a loss in his four-year college career. As a redshirt junior in 2018, Taylor was named Team MVP after recording eight sacks with 11 tackles for a loss and forcing three fumbles.
As a redshirt senior in 2019, he made 8.5 sacks with 10 tackles for a loss with a career-high four passes defended.
The projected third-round pick would be a perfect fit on the Los Angeles Rams defensive line. Los Angeles lost Dante Fowler in free agency and struggled to replace Ndamukong Suh last year after he left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Taylor could slide right into the Rams defensive line rotation to help out Aaron Darnold and Michael Brockers.
Projection: Third round, No. 84 overall
