3. Washington

With the unexpected departure of Jacob Eason for the NFL draft, the Huskies are looking for some buzz in the quarterback room. They do have Jacob Sirmon and Dylan Morris. Both are four-star recruits with potential.

Adding JT Daniels would instantly add buzz and upgrade the quarterback room. That is no knock on either Sirmon or Morris, but Daniels was one of the most highly sought after recruits in the country when he came out of high school.

There are some complications to this move, however. If the NCAA does not grant the one-time transfer rule, USC could block Daniels from going anywhere in the Pac-12. It stands to reason they could see the Huskies as a threat to a conference championship and block him from going.

The Huskies have five-star Sam Huard coming in 2021. If Daniels transfers, you run the risk of Huard decomitting. Daniels could enter the draft after one season wherever he goes, but he might choose to stay. Jimmy Lake and the Huskies would have to decide if the risk is worth it.

The Huskies do have talent returning next season though they lack in the experience department. What Washington does have is a good offensive line and a defense that returns seven starters.
