With a lack of top-tier prospects, how many West Virginia football players will go in this year’s NFL draft and where will they land?

West Virginia has been no stranger to putting out first-round picks in the last decade or so from Tavon Austin to Adam “Pacman” Jones to Bruce Irvin to Kevin White. However, 2020 will not be one of those years.

West Virginia is a rebuilding program under head coach Neal Brown and the Mountaineers are lacking some of that top tier talent that they will need in the coming years to try and challenge for a Big 12 title.

With that being said, I think there could be a couple of diamonds in the rough in the later rounds from Morgantown.

Brown arrived to Morgantown last fall after spending some time as the head coach of the Troy Trojans where he built a consistent winning football program. West Virginia finished 5-7 under Brown’s first season as the head coach, but there was plenty of reason for optimism in the future as the Mountaineers seemed to improve every week and really became a physical football team on both sides of the ball and gave their fans some optimism heading into 2020.

The Mountaineers have two draftable players in this years draft and we’re going to take a look at where these guys might land.
