Pick Analysis. K. Scouting Report. Georgia. Rodrigo Blankenship. 7. player. 123

As a kicker, you have to be pretty darn good to be considered good enough to be drafted. The kicker position is known to be durable but as of late, we’ve seen so many in the NFL that it’s becoming a make-or-be-cut position.

The Dallas Cowboys had themselves a great, and reliable kicker in Dan Bailey but since 2017 have had three kickers come in and make under 80 percent of their tries.

Rodrigo Blankenship is as accomplished as a college kicker can be entering the NFL. In fact, he holds the Georgia career points record, is a Lou Groza Award winner and has a career long of 55 yards.

Really any team who is looking for a new kicker should bring Blankenship in but “America’s team” doesn’t relinquish their chance at correcting their kicking game as Rodrigo falls to them in the seventh round.

Projection: Seventh round, No. 231 (Cowboys)
