Oklahoma Football: Where will Sooners land in 2020 NFL Draft?
A handful of Oklahoma football players will be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Here’s where CeeDee Lamb, Jalen Hurts and Co. may land.
The Oklahoma Sooners are coming off yet another Big 12 championship and their fourth College Football Playoff appearance since the playoff era began in 2014.
As a result, several Sooners will be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft with multiple projected to go in the first round and one perhaps the biggest sleeper of any player that will hear their name called.
Here’s a look at where Oklahoma’s four likely NFL draftees may land later this week.
In perhaps the best wide receiver draft in the history of the NFL, Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb may be the first wideout off the board. The projected first rounder was a consensus All-American in 2019 after hauling in 62 catches for 1,237 yards and 14 touchdowns and adding a 15th score on the ground.
The 6-2 receiver is perfect for a team ready to win now and the defending champion San Francisco 49ers happen to own the 13th overall pick after a trade with the Colts.
With Emmanuel Sanders gone, the 49ers again have a hole at wideout and need to give Jimmy Garoppolo another weapon. Drafting Lamb is a win-now move and that’s exactly where the 49ers are at as a franchise.
Projection: First round, No. 13 (49ers)
