Alabama Football: Predicting where Crimson Tide land in 2020 NFL Draft
The second star dual-hybrid pass rusher for the Crimson Tide is projected to be the Tide’s next player off the board in the 2020 NFL Draft. Anfernee Jennings has been a long-time player for the Crimson Tide as a four-year impact defensive player. He has played a total of 48 games in the four years of his playing career.
In his junior season at Alabama in 2018, Jennings accounted for 50 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 11 pass deflections, and two fumble recoveries. As a senior, Jennings accounted for 83 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks and five pass deflections.
Jennings will likely be a pure outside linebacker in the NFL, which is just what the Atlanta Falcons need. They have tried to over-utilize players like Vic Beasley Jr. at defensive end and outside linebacker. Jennings can be a versatile defender at outside linebacker in defending the pass as a zone and man coverage player and as a blitzer from the linebacker spot.
Projection: Fourth round, No. 119 overall (Falcons)
