The last player that the Crimson Tide projects to be drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft will near the very end of the process. Shyheim Carter was an impact player in the last two years of his career under Nick Saban’s defense as a physical and active safety.

In his junior season in 2018, Carter accounted for 43 total tackles, 26 solo tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for two touchdowns and 10 pass deflections. He produced similar numbers as a senior by accounting for 43 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception and seven pass deflections.

Carter will be a player that will be personally recommended by Saban to his former mentor in Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. He will be a player that will learn the system of the Patriots while adjusting to the NFL and eventually become a potential starter through experience and patience.
