With the No. 29 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Titans went with some offensive line help in Isaiah Wilson from Georgia.

When Isaiah Wilson committed to Georgia out of high school, he was a nearly 400-pound prospect. He was raw, but highly-regarded and he worked his way onto the field for the Bulldogs and toned up that frame. He became a much more productive 350 pounds.

The Titans bought into that monster 6-foot-6, 350-pound frame which was known for throwing defenders around in the SEC at No. 29 overall, helping replace Jack Conklin.

Tennessee could have gone with a sexier pick like an offensive weapon or even more defensive help, but Wilson just makes sense. The Titans need some offensive line help with all of the moving pieces this offseason and Wilson has an NFL-ready body with plenty of strength to match. You’re just not going to push this kid around.

Wilson gets knocked a lot for his technique. His balance isn’t the greatest as a blocker and can get caught leaning forward instead of low in his stance. His footwork could use some work, but he has above average size and power.

If you’re Derrick Henry, you’re happy that you have this guy paving running lanes for you.

Grade: B+

This pick isn’t going to open any eyes, but it’s just an overall value pick. Tennessee needs offensive line help, especially with Conklin gone, and Wilson is the type of tackle who could start within his first couple of years in the league, if not right away.
