Utah football has many draft prospects in this year’s NFL draft. Which Utes comes off the board first and where will they land?

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said every starter on his team last season was good enough to play in the NFL. The result was an 11-win season and a trip to the Pac-12 title game. They were led on offense by quarterback Tyler Huntley and running back Zack Moss.

Defensively, they were led by cornerback Jaylon Johnson and defensive lineman Bradlee Anae. This was one of Whittingham’s most talented and most experienced teams. They are losing 13 starters from last years’ squad, however.

Last season’s team is a testament to the job Whittingham and his staff has done of not only successfully transitioning the Utah program from the Group of Five to the Power Five but making the Utes a power in the Pac-12 South division.

Utah has recruited nationally and developed the talent that has come through Salt Lake City. They do not miss on prospects often. The scouts identify the players that fit what the coaching staff wants to do and they bring them into the program and develop them physically and as football players.

The Utes will have players all over this draft. They have a player with a first-round grade — Jaylon Johnson — and some players that could be priority free agents.

Here’s where the Utes’ top prospects could land in the NFL draft.
