Scouting Report. player. 60. Pick Analysis. WR. LSU. Justin Jefferson. 1

Before the 2020 NFL Draft took place, there was talk that Justin Jefferson was the second or third-best receiver in the class with arguably the highest upside. He went from lowest-rated commitment in the Tigers’ 2017 recruiting class to leading receiver on a national title team in 2019.

Jefferson’s rise has been something out of Hollywood as the former two-star recruit looks like the receiver in this draft who may just be in the best position to succeed.

Seeing Henry Ruggs III, Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Reagor all drafted before him was head-scratching, to say the least. While his spot at No. 23 isn’t a crazy drop (he was projected as a mid-first rounder), getting him with all those other names off the board is a huge win for the Vikings.

Kirk Cousins lost Stefon Diggs this offseason and the Vikings needed to add a receiver and that’s where Jefferson comes into play.

The Vikings are one of those NFC teams who seem to be on the verge of breaking through and Jefferson brings that big-play ability which could boost that offense immediately.
