Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. USC. 59. OT. Austin Jackson. 4. player

Look, I understand 100 percent why the Dolphins made this pick.

Offensive tackle was the biggest need for the Dolphins after taking Tua Tagovailoa to be the next franchise quarterback and Jackson had long been rumored to have been liked by the Dolphins and he probably would not have lasted until pick No. 26.

However, if you watched Jackson this past season, his tape did not suggest that he should have been picked in the first round.

Jackson has potential and that is why the Dolphins made this selection, but if he does not pan out, Dolphins fans will be looking at why they did not take some of the other talented players on the board.
