Despite 2020’s draft featuring perhaps best wide receiver classes in NFL history, Ja’Marr Chase would likely have been the first off the board if he were eligible.

As a sophomore, Chase put together a historic season as he hauled in 84 catches for a nation-leading 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns.

He became the SEC record holder for receiving touchdowns in a season and receiving yards, earned unanimous All-American and First-Team SEC honors and was named the 2019 Biletnikoff Award as the top receiver in college football.

Chase put together a dominant performance in the national championship game as he made nine catches for 221 yards and two touchdowns to help LSU clinch their first title since 2007.

With a record breaking season, there’s little doubt Chase will be a first round selection in 2021. He not only dominated but did so against SEC defenses and a pair of playoff teams in Oklahoma and Clemson.

At 6-1, he has the perfect combination of size and speed that NFL scouts will droll over and likely rate as the top receiver in a draft that will feature several other elite receivers such as Alabama‘s Jaylen Waddle and Devonta Smith and LSU teammate Terrace Marshall.
