If you’re looking for one of the most productive receivers in the Big Ten who should surely be selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, JD Spielman is your guy.

Through three seasons with the Cornhuskers, Spielman has never finished with less than 800 receiving yards and has totaled 2,546 yards and 15 touchdowns on 170 receptions. He’s about as consistent as they come in terms of being a receiving threat year in and year out and his numbers have been steady since he was a freshman.

In fact, he caught 55 passes for 830 yards and two touchdowns in his first season with Nebraska before topping that with 66 receptions for 818 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. His reception numbers took a dip in 2019 with 49, but he did post a career-best 898 yards to go along with five touchdowns for his best yards per reception average as a Cornhusker.

Spielman has NFL connections as he’s the son of Vikings general manager Rick Spielman and the nephew of former Ohio State star Chris Spielman.

The slot receiver stands just 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds and could fit that role perfectly at the next level.
