Dicaprio Bootle could be a mid-to-late-round steal in 2021. Not only does he have one of the best names in college football, but he’s arguably the top NFL prospect on Nebraska’s roster as the best defensive back on the team.

In fact, he’s been named Nebraska’s defensive back of the year for two straight seasons and entering his senior year, he’ll be looked at as the leader of that side of the ball.

Playing in 23 total games over the past two years, Bootle has recorded 70 total tackles and 21 pass deflections. Shockingly enough, he’s never picked off a pass at the collegiate level, but my money would be on that changing in 2020 and if he can show more ball-hawking skills like he had in 2018, he could be solid Day 2 or early Day 3 prospect.

Bootle has decent size at 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds and the Miami-native continues to prove himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the Big Ten. He as an All-Big Ten third-teamer in 2018 and honorable mention in 2019.

Let’s say he steps up and earns second or first-team honors in 2020, he could be a steal after the second or third round.
