TCU’s defense should be one of the best in the Big 12 and players like Garret Wallow are a big reason. Wallow is classified as a linebacker, but I would consider him more of a nickel player.

Nickels are usually linebacker/safety type players that can play in space and coverage, but play well against the run and are able to blitz. That is the perfect description for Wallow because he does all of that stuff and he does it well.

Wallow had a big breakout season in 2019 and finished the year with 125 tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception. NFL teams value versatility on the defensive side of the football and Wallow can bring that.

I think that Wallow still needs to develop his all around game, but he is a guy to watch this season on the TCU defense.
