Mississippi State football has some impressive talent to utilize in Mike Leach’s first season with the Bulldogs. Who could be headed to the NFL next?

It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago, Mississippi State was riding high with Dan Mullen as head coach. The Bulldogs were dark-horse contenders every year despite never being that truly dominant team, but it was a step up from what the program had been used to before Mullen.

And then he abruptly left for Florida.

Sure, it was a better job offer and the ceiling for teams in Gainesville is much higher than the one for Mississippi State but that didn’t make the loss sting any less.

Mississippi State went out and hired one of the hottest coordinators on the market in Penn State’s Joe Moorhead who helped lead the Nittany Lions offense to national relevance. He was expected to make Mississippi State an offensive juggernaut, but that didn’t quite happen and two seasons later, he’s been let go.

Enter, Mike Leach.

The Pirate has a lot of work to do if he’s going to get Mississippi State back to SEC relevance and he hasn’t gotten off to a great start with controversial tweets during quarantine. He will, however, have some NFL talent to work with right away and one guy happens to be one of the best grad transfers in the nation playing quarterback.

Which Mississippi State players are the most likely to be selected in the 2021 NFL Draft after a year with Leach?
