Sam Williams was one of the best linebackers at the JUCO level in 2018, recording 75 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and four pass deflections, being named an first-team All-American with Northeast Mississippi and earning the distinction of No. 7 JUCO prospect in the nation. He was also listed as the third-best defensive end.

The 6-foot-3, 251-pound pass-rusher came to Ole Miss as a defensive end, but moved to outside linebacker with the Rebels and became one of the best on the roster.

Though he didn’t have an overly productive junior season in 2019 with 38 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, an interception and a forced fumble, he’s gearing up for a breakout 2020 campaign. He looks like one of the best pass rushers in the SEC and should be a star as a senior, earning some late-round consideration for a team looking for edge help.

Williams has the size, athleticism and strength to become one of the best pass rushers in college football like he was at the JUCO level.
