LSU Football: 3 reasons Joe Burrow will turn Bengals around

Joe Burrow was selected No. 1 overall by the Cincinnati Bengals. These are the reasons the former LSU football star will turn the Bengals around.

There is a reason you have the No. 1 pick in the draft. Odds are you are not a very good football team. At very least you had a really bad season. You also do not want to pick that high in the draft again either.

This season the Cincinnati Bengals had the No. 1 pick in the draft. They chose south Ohio native Joe Burrow with the first pick in the NFL draft.

Burrow ended his college career by winning the Heisman Trophy, a national title and becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. He is the first player since Cam Newton to do all three in the same season.

The Athens, Ohio, native had the best statistical season in the history of college football. He set nine records last season throwing for over 5,000 yards and 60 touchdowns. That is a career for some players.

His season — along with Tua’s hip injury — was parlayed into the top pick. The Bengals and their fans hope he can lead them back to the Super Bowl — somewhere they have not been since 1988. Will he be able to lead the Bengals to the promised land?

Time will tell if he can or not, but here are three reasons he will.
