Arizona State Football: Top 3 prospects for 2021 NFL Draft
One of the best returning safeties in the Pac-12 is former four-star Aashari Crosswell and he’s gearing up for a breakout season in 2020 after two strong campaigns to start his Arizona State career.
Arizona State had one of the better defenses in the Pac-12, surprising some people in 2019. That was arguably the strength of the team as the offense struggled early.
As the season progressed, however, the secondary got burned a little more, but Crosswell stayed relatively consistent. He finished the year with 50 total tackles, two tackles for loss, 10 pass deflections and two interceptions. He proved to be one of the better cover safeties in the league which wasn’t shocking given his performance as a freshman where he intercepted four passes and batted down nine passes.
The Sun Devils could lose Crosswell after the 2020 season if he continues his upward climb and earns All-Pac-12 honors again. He could get the advice to test the NFL draft waters and he’d be a solid Day 2 or Day 3 pick.
