Arizona State Football: Top 3 prospects for 2021 NFL Draft
Jermayne Lole put up some freakish numbers during the 2019 season as a sophomore but that didn’t come as a surprise because he got off to a hot start as a true freshman.
The former four-star defensive end prospect from Long Beach, Calif., had an immediate impact in 2018. In fact, he had 27 total tackles with five tackles for loss and three sacks. He added four pass deflections and a forced fumble.
If that didn’t set up the kind of breakout season Lole had in 2019, I don’t know what else did. He had an incredible year on the Sun Devils’ defensive line, posting a ridiculous 71 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks with two pass deflections.
Lole stands 6-foot-2 and 284 pounds so he might not have the typical height for an NFL defensive end, but he could excel on the interior. Will he get some Day 1 consideration? If he continues to produce at a high level and look unblockable in the Pac-12 in 2020, there’s a good chance we could hear his name very early on.
Arizona State’s best NFL prospect is only a junior and he’s getting better each season.
