As Michigan State football moves into a new era with Mel Tucker as the head coach, these three NFL prospects will look to lead the way.

Mark Dantonio had been the head coach of the Michigan State Spartans since 2007 and took this program to unprecedented heights. He won three Big Ten championships with the Spartans and in 2015, earned a trip to the College Football Playoff.

Things had gotten a little stale in East Lansing the past few seasons and some of that is due to the failure to make significant changes to the offensive philosophy and the coaching staff.

Dantonio stepped down this offseason and Michigan State was able to lure away Mel Tucker from Colorado, despite him only being there for one season.

Tucker is still largely unproven as a head coach, going 5-7 in his only season as the head coach for the Buffalos and it’s going to be a challenging schedule that includes games against Miami, Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, Minnesota and Ohio State. That is a really challenging schedule and it will be interesting to see how Tucker fares in year one, especially with some key offensive and defensive starters departing.

Here are the three NFL prospects I think that will lead the Spartans in 2020.
