If there’s anyone along UCLA’s offensive line who could be selected in the 2021 NFL Draft or even has the highest ceiling as a pro prospect, it would have to be Jake Burton.

The senior has started 23-of-24 games over the past two seasons for the Bruins at right tackle and he helped pave the way for Joshua Kelley’s breakout in 2018 and his follow-up 1,000-yard season in 2019. He became the eighth running back in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.

Burton has been as consistent as anyone on the offensive line and while he doesn’t quite garner a ton of attention nationally, he’s well-known in the Pac-12. Pro Football Focus even named him an honorable mention All-Pac-12 performer. It would be a shock to see him left off one of the all-conference teams in 2020.

Standing 6-foot-6 and 312 pounds, he has the look of a right tackle but could probably switch to left, depending on NFL team needs.

If he continues his upward climb, he should hear his name called in the 2021 NFL Draft.
