This is a pivotal year for South Carolina football and head coach Will Muschamp and these three NFL prospects will help lead the way for the Gamecocks.

South Carolina has failed to live up to expectations the past couple of seasons.

The Gamecocks entered 2018 with some thinking that they could be a darkhorse challenger to the Georgia Bulldogs for the SEC East title. That dream was crushed in only the second week of the season when the Bulldogs ran wild en route to a 41-17 victory and the Gamecocks would go on to finish that season 7-6 and were hoping for a rebound in 2019.

Those early-season hopes were dashed by week one after a loss to North Carolina and the Gamecocks wound up finishing 4-8 and led some to believe that Will Muschamp would be fired but that didn’t happen, but some staff turnover was necessary. He brought in former Colorado State head coach and Georgia assistant Mike Bobo to be the new offensive coordinator and help turn around a struggling offensive unit.

South Carolina has some up-and-coming stars on the defensive side of the football and that is where my focus will be as I identify the top three NFL prospects for South Carolina in 2020.
