The area that the Arizona Sun Devils need to improve most if they want to take the next step and truly contend for the Pac-12 South and ultimately the conference championship, they need to upgrade the offensive line.

Recruiting and upgrading take time. So, the next best thing to do is look to the transfer portal as you recruit and develop offensive linemen. The Sun Devils plucked graduated transfer Henry Hattis from the transfer portal.

Hattis can step in and help an offense that averaged a meager 3.5 yards per rush and 5.7 yards per play. They lose both Eno Benjamin and Brandon Aiyuk to the NFL, but they are so young that they won’t miss those losses as much as you would think.

Along with Hattis, they brought in another transfer tackle in Kellen Diesch from Texas A&M to protect rising sophomore quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Sun Devils have amassed some pretty good young weapons around their young phenom quarterback.

They need their offensive line to open holes for the running game and give Daniels time to throw. Hattis and Diesch will step in day one and do that for the Sun Devils.
