Florida football’s elite tight end emerges

The most intriguing prospect from the University of Florida is a big man from Pennsylvania with great potential. Kyle Pitts gave opposing players and coaches from the SEC many headaches in 2019.

Pitts finished last season with 54 receptions for 649 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He was awarded a spot on the Coaches/AP All-SEC first team for his efforts.

His best game was against the best college football had to offer, going for108 yards on just five receptions against LSU.

In terms of athletic ability, Pitts is NFL-ready. He has great change of direction skills on top of a deadly burst. When Pitts has the ball in space, he displays great ability to rack up yards after the catch. This athletic ability in addition to being 6-6, 239 pounds makes him likely to be one of the top tight ends off the board in 2021.

What he has to improve on for the 2020 season is his blocking skills. Despite being a willing blocker, he got blown up often and was a liability more times than not. If he can improve his blocking and build on an impressive first starting season, Pitts can charge his way into the 1st round.
