Another Florida football defensive back in the NFL?

Marco Wilson is going to end up as one of the more polarizing prospects in this upcoming draft. The believers will point to his mirroring ability and sound tackling. The skeptics will focus in on two torn ACLs slowing him down going forward.

Wilson had a good true freshman season with 10 passes defended with 34 tackles. A torn ACL took away his sophomore season after just one game. He did rebound last season recording the first three interceptions of his career at Florida and 36 tackles.

As a prospect, Wilson is an aggressive player who can make a difference in run support in addition to his coverage skills. He has solid ball skills and can track the ball well. He did get burned on go routes at different points throughout last season, so some may wonder if the knee injuries will start to catch up with him.

For 2020, Wilson will have to show he is past his knee injuries and put out a productive season. Watch out for the Florida versus LSU showdown on Oct. 10. If he is lined up against Ja’Marr Chase, that will be important film to study for his NFL future.

With CJ Henderson off to the NFL, the Gators will be relying on Wilson to lead their secondary.
