4. (7) Florida 21, (13) Tennessee 20

The rivalry that used to define the SEC East and the conference as a whole every season, this installation of the Gators versus Volunteers carried major implications throughout the season. At the time, the Gators were undefeated and ranked seventh in the country. Tennessee was likewise undefeated and ranked 13th.

The Volunteers would lead the game 17-7 in the middle of the third quarter, but the Gators would outscore the Vols 14-3 the rest of the way and secure a 21-20 victory over their hated rivals.

Florida would later go on to lose to Auburn, but rebound and ride a six-game winning streak all the way to the national championship game.

This game is significant for the obvious reasons. If Tennessee wins this game, they would go on to win the SEC East and keep Urban Meyer and the Gators out of the SEC championship and therefore the national championship, opening the door for Michigan to get a rematch with Ohio State.
