NFL Draft 2020: Rookie jersey numbers for all first-round picks
Joe Burrow will be rocking the same No. 9 that he donned while earning legend status at LSU. His black Bengals jersey is currently the eighth best-selling jersey in the NFL.
Chase Young won’t be able to wear the No. 2 jersey that he rocked while becoming college football’s top pass rusher with the Buckeyes last season. Instead, he’ll wear No. 99 as he returns to his home state of Maryland to play for the Redskins.
As of now, the Lions report cornerback Jeff Okudah will wear the same No. 1 he wore at Ohio State, but NFL defensive backs must wear a number between 20-49, thus expect a change before the start of the regular season.
Andrew Thomas will rock No. 78 with the Giants after wearing No. 71 at Georgia. No. 71 is currently worn by 2018 second-round pick and former Texas El Paso star Will Hernandez.
Former Alabama star Tua Tagovailoa will wear No. 1 for the Dolphins and already has the NFL’s top two selling jerseys (aqua and white). He wore No. 13 at Alabama, but that number is retired by Miami to honor Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino.
Justin Herbert will continue wearing No. 10 with the Chargers. The former Oregon star will look to steal Los Angeles’ starting job from veteran Tyrod Taylor.
As a defensive lineman, Derrick Brown won’t be able to wear his No. 5 from Auburn so he decided to add a nine in front and dawn the No. 95 jersey for Matt Rhule and the Panthers.
Former Clemson star Isaiah Simmons will wear No. 48 for the Arizona Cardinals. Why? He wants to honor the state of Arizona’s history of being the 48th state in the union.
