NFL Draft 2020: Rookie jersey numbers for all first-round picks
Former Oklahoma star CeeDee Lamb will continue the legacy of Cowboys wide receivers to don the No. 88 jersey. He originally requested No. 10 but decided he wants to continue the tradition of No. 88s such as Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant.
Austin Jackson will continue wearing No. 73 with the Dolphins. The USC star will protect the NFL’s top-selling jersey wearer in Tua Tagovailoa.
Damon Arnette will wear No. 20 in Las Vegas. The former Ohio State corner was seen by many as the first round’s biggest surprise.
K’Lavon Chaisson will wear No. 45 as a Jaguar after repping the No. 18 jersey at LSU. The decision came after the linebacker sought advice from fans on what number he should wear in Jacksonville.
Former TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor will wear No. 18 for the Eagles. He sent a tweet stating that he requested the No. 16, but it appears his request was not granted.
Justin Jefferson will wear No. 18 with the Vikings. He told Vikings.com he chose the number to honor former quarterback LSU Matt Mauck who led the Tigers to the 2003 BCS National Championship.
“Having 18 at LSU was definitely a big deal and a leadership deal, so definitely coming in, trying to be one of those leaders for the team and providing whatever to the team to make us win,” Jefferson said.
Kenneth Murray will wear No. 56 in Los Angeles. He wore No. 9 during his time at Oklahoma and will now wear the number of the greatest linebacker of all time in Lawerence Taylor.
Cesar Ruiz will sport the No. 51 when snapping to future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees next season. It is the same number he wore during his college career at Michigan.
