We bring on several Saturday Blitz writers as guests this week as we look at great college football seasons from the past in the latest podcast.

With John away from the podcast booth this week, the Saturday Blitz Podcast turned its attention to introducing several of the website’s writers. Shelbie Warr and Richard Kimball join us this week for a chance to sit on the hot seat and get grilled about their fandom with a series of questions longtime listeners might remember John and Zach answering in the earliest episodes.

  • What is the greatest game they ever witnessed?
  • What was the most excruciating loss their favorite team endured?
  • What iconic stadium do they most want to visit to see a game in person?
  • What is the most memorable bowl game they ever sat down and watched?
  • Who was their favorite player as a youngster?

We get into these questions and tease out the fan psyche of Shelbie and Richard in our first segment of the podcast.

After the break, we dive into a thought experiment: If you could go back into all of college football history and watch all of one season in its entirety, which one would you pick and why?

Our guests keep things fairly modern. The resident historian at Saturday Blitz goes for a true blast from the past.

See what each writer picked as the season they most want to relive in the latest edition of the podcast. You can access it through the player above or download by going to our homepage at Spreaker. Our entire catalog is also there if you want to go back and see how John and Zach answered the questions Shelbie and Richard tackle in the latest edition.

The Saturday Blitz Podcast is part of the FanSided Radio Network at Spreaker. The show goes live every Wednesday morning. You can reach John Mitchell at @jlmitchell93 and Zach Bigalke at @zbigalke on Twitter.
