The latest edition of the rewind takes a look at the most important games of the historic and upset filled 2007 college football season.

In what many, myself included, consider to be the greatest and most fun college football season of all time, it was hard to narrow this fantastic campaign filled with upsets and surprise teams down to just five important games.

This was the episode that I have been waiting to do for a long time. This is no doubt the most fun and shocking season of college football, and maybe even all of sports, that I have ever witnessed.

Every week, it seemed as if there was a major upset and it was a curse to be ranked No. 2.

This was also a year where there were plenty of underdog programs that got there shot at being ranked either No. 1 or No. 2 and they couldn’t avoid the upset themselves. From Cal, South Florida, Boston College, Kansas, Hawaii and Missouri, there was no shortage of great stories to pull for.

It was also the year that a man named Nick Saban took over a struggling Alabama football program. But after everything was said and done and the dust settled, it was two powerhouses, LSU and Ohio State, battling it out for the national championship.

This episode of college football rewind is going to take a look back at the most important games from the 2007 season.
