Duke Football hasn’t had the most success, but Thad Lewis is a name that won’t be forgotten in Durham.

Lewis is Duke’s program leader in passing yards (10,065) and passing touchdowns (67). His best season came as a senior in 2009, where he was named a Davey O’Brien Award finalist after throwing for 3,330 yards and 20 touchdowns while adding four touchdown passes.

In his four years leading the Blue Devils, Lewis led a slow improvement as the team won five games just two years removed from a one win 2007 and winless 2006.

Lewis went undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft wound up spending time with nine franchises and making six starts with one coming for the Cleveland Browns and two with the Buffalo Bills. He is now an offensive assistant at UCLA.
