Clemson football has one of the easier schedules in the Power Five for 2020 and that could mean a clear path to the College Football Playoff.

It’s been a forgettable week for Clemson football and while there are many reasons to be down about the recent happening surrounding the Tigers both on (Justyn Ross injury) and off (assistant coach in hot water) the field, there’s plenty of excitement surrounding a potential return.

With COVID-19 making everything increasingly more difficult to return to normal, the NCAA announced that June 15 will be the date that student-athletes will be allowed to return to campus and schools around the country have marked that down as the start date for summer meet-ups and gearing up for camp.

Clemson will be no different as the Tigers are as excited as any team in the nation to return to the field with all the excitement surrounding Trevor Lawrence and Co.

There’s a good chance Lawrence will be the top Heisman Trophy candidate heading into the season and even without Ross in the receiving corps, he’ll have plenty of weapons to work with, including star running back Travis Etienne who has announced a return for his senior season.

The 2020 schedule is a winnable one for Clemson as well which could mean there’s a clear path for the Tigers to make yet another College Football Playoff appearance.
