Am I in the minority believing that Syracuse will finish ahead of NC State and Boston College in the ACC Atlantic? It’s possible, but I truly believe in Dino Babers as head coach and the fact that the Orange missed a bowl in 2019 after going 10-3 in 2018 might end up being an outlier when it’s all said and done and I think Syracuse makes it back to the postseason in 2020.

Syracuse brings back Tommy DeVito who had an up-and-down 2019 season and should be better and Taj Harris is also back. Abdul Adams has been waiting patiently for his turn as the starting running back and he has potential to star as a senior. The defense will also be under a new direction with Tony White in charge.

All of this turnover could actually help the Orange.

Flashes of progress were shown in Geoff Collins’ first season as head coach as the Yellow Jackets beat Miami and NC State to finish the season 3-9. No, that’s not a great record, but it shows that this team could be trending in the right direction, beating a couple of solid teams with a depleted roster.

Georgia Tech doesn’t lose a ton from the 3-9 squad which lost three more games by 10 points or less which shows that the Yellow Jackets were a couple of breaks away from a bowl bid.

This won’t be a cakewalk for the Tigers.
