Gone is Bryce Perkins which will be a bigger loss than many realize as Bronco Mendenhall will have to turn to inexperienced sophomore Brennan Armstrong at quarterback.

Virginia is still a threat in the ACC Coastal, however, just like it was last season when it won nine games and made the conference title game before losing to Clemson by a million. Don’t expect another 62-17 beatdown here, but this is not going to be the Tigers’ toughest game of the season.

Florida State is going through yet another transition period which has been the theme of the program since the departure of Jimbo Fisher a few years back. Mike Norvell is taking over for Willie Taggart who was fired in the middle of the 2019 season.

James Blackman should be back under center and the defense has some NFL talent, but starting over again could knock the Seminoles back a couple of years to another rebuild.

Because this is a rivalry, I’m giving it more credit and the fact that it’s in Tallahassee makes it even more difficult. I don’t see an upset happening but it wouldn’t be a huge shock if it did.
