2. Kyle King, DE, Michigan State football

Kyle King could be one of a few true freshmen to see the field in 2020. As a developmental program, most recruits are lacking something. It could be size, experience at the position they were recruited, or experience playing football.

King is a bit undersized, but his non-stop motor could earn the New Palestine, Ind., native some snaps. What he lacks in size, however, he makes up for in strength.

Watching the tape of King you first notice how effortless his strength is on his bull rush. Though he is not an elite athlete, King diagnoses quickly and has a nose for the ball.

Not only that, but King also plays fast with good first step off of the snap. He is long at 6-foot-4 and has room to grow. He does need to work on more of a variety of pass rush moves, but he will improve his repertoire as he matures.

If he does get snaps, it will be breaking through a young and crowded defensive line group. However, Spartans coaches will be impressed with his work ethic and how he just gets after it.

The Spartans recruited heavily along the defensive line so there might be some competition for snaps. King will get some this season.
