No conference in college football slings the ball around quite like the Big 12. Known for high-powered offenses with little defensive resistance, it comes as no surprise as several of college football’s top quarterbacks have come from the conference.
Each Big 12 school has seen their share of record-setters, all-conference stars and many have even seen Heisman Trophy winners. There are national champions and No. 1 overall picks. Guys who have become stars in the NFL and others who flamed out despite stellar college careers.
If you look at some of the most prolific offensive attacks in college football, the Big 12 has to come to mind and in recent years, the aerial games have been elite. Normally, you’d think of the Pac-12 as the pass-heavy conference, but that’s slowly changing.
The Big 12 has been home to some of the most video game-like offenses in college football history and the first team that comes to mind is Oklahoma. It’ll be tough to pick from the long list of elite quarterbacks for the Sooners, but in-state rival Oklahoma State isn’t too far behind. Baylor, too, has been home to some of the best passers in the sport’s history but it doesn’t stop with those three teams.
